Yes, http://www.gnome.org/~ssp/randr/.git is a git repository. People
with a gnome account can also check it out from /home/users/ssp/randr
on gnome.org.

Yes, the user can select 'Off' instead of a mode. This feature may
have been added since the last mail.

This is purely an X server/graphics driver feature. It simply needs to
not place any restrictions on what sizes you can set with
XRRSetScreenSize().
For Fedora 9 the plan is to get this working for the Intel driver. For
other drivers, a 'Virtual' line in xorg.conf will still have to be
added.
