MIME Type for Gnome Theme Package bug.

I finally tried and finished the patch[0] for #393697 [1], it has a problem, but I guess the problem is not caused for the patch but from my jhbuild instalation.
Nautilus is unable to open the default applications for any mimetype (even for
tar.gz files with file-roller), and it's unable to set custom default applications for given mimetypes. I'm unable to see the patch full working, however, I think everything is ok.
Any ideas?
Thos, could patch be commited with this pending bug (albeit I still not sure if it has bugs or my jhbuild is broken)?
