On further thought, can we skip these for 1.0 and worry about them later?
More padding would be welcome, but the tree is currently an unimplementable
feature as it is (ie. minimal research has been done to make it work), so
simplifying it would be good.

Let's put the takes-time-to-download gloss on after we go live. :)
