Obviously the SourceForge code comes with its own forums, which many
people seem to think is good. Joakim mentioned at one time that he
thought they looked a bit too much like Usenet (I'm not totally sure I
understand this statement), but the interface can obviously be altered
to our tastes. Anyway, this is an option that is already developed and
already works with the user account code that I'm working on. It also
has moderation code built into it too. The only problem with it that
when you delete a message, it deletes all replies to that message as
well, which may be a good thing actually :)

This would be easy to do for any system we choose, but SF would
obviously be the easiest since it's already written.
BTW, I now have the user account stuff done and I'm probably half way
done with project registration. Once that is done, I hope to populate
the Software Map and put it out on my web server for demonstration.
After everyone thinks it's good to go, I will send out emails to current
applist maintainers which their account information. Whether we do that
while it's on my box or gnome.org doesn't really matter to me.
I assume someone will then need to hack up the front page and Gnotices
so that it will recognize the new file release stuff. If anyone is
familiar with that code and wants to help, I can send them the table
schema.
