Sun's usability study of Gnome 1.2 (see developer.gnome.org) showed that users, when asked to find file X, did not thing to click on the little icon of a house. Something like the attached (by Luca) would solve this. The icon both shows a house so people will know that it is "home", but it also has a folder to the user knows that it's a folder. There is also a really nice one in Industrial, and Jimmac has offered to do something similar for gnome-icon-theme based on the new folder icons... -- Mark Finlay <sisob eircom net>
