I talked to Bastien about the way to present this information to the
user. We agreed that using the kind of overlays you described would be
great for a settop box, but Totem is desktop application. So we decided
adding a menu and dialogs.

Great, I really appreciate your work. Keep in mind that the next version
will depend a new upcoming gst-rtsp-server version, too. I let you know
when I made a release.
