Week 7: Integrating Zeitgeist into GNOME Shell

Hey,

Wow, time does really pass too quickly... Here are my items for this week:

Zeitgeist:
 - General cleanup and ubg fixes.
 - Separated the code into a public and a private Python module.
 - Added a GetApplications method to the D-Bus API.
 - Pushed out a 0.1 tarball last week, now getting ready for a 0.2 one.

GNOME Shell:
 - Investigated http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588050
(slowness showing the overlay) together with some other people; it was
resolved for some but here the problem is still present so I may need
to look further into it.
 - Started working on showing related (recently/most used) files for
application in the contextual pane; see
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/3655/appdocs.png if you don't
understand what I mean. This is now blocked until I figure out how to
get the path to the .desktop file for the application (I send a mail
to GNOME Shell's mailing list asking about this).
 - Played a bit with the code (if someone wants to get scared, see
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/5683/capturai.png -it's supposed to
become something like a "cover view" showing all documents for the
different days; not sure if it makes sense to finish it though-).

Zeitgeist is by now pretty much capable of handling anything most
stuff the GNOME Shell could ever need. The problem now is that the
Shell folks don't seem to know what they want, so I guess I'll need to
come up with ideas by myself, together with Seif. (If anyone of you is
reading this, I'd be happy to be corrected on this, as I don't want my
code to be rejected later on ;)).

Cheers,
