Hi!
Here's what I did the last week.
I talked to kikidonk about whether to implement a D-Bus interface or
not. We both agreed on not providing such an interface, because
applications that want to embed Deskbar (Big Board, gimmie) are written
in python can therefore embded the entry widget directly. Nevertheless,
a D-Bus interface may be provided some time in the future.
Furthermore, I started writing new base classes for modules and the
core[1]. Especially the new module design should speed up Deskbar's
start-up time, because we don't need a instance of each handler in order
to check if it's suitable, anymore. I bundled access to GConf in the
GconfStore class and started implementing the methods for the core.
The next step will be to convert each handler and the module loader to
the new module architecture.
