Yeah. I had this problem as well.
It's hidden in the FAQ somewhere that it's almost necessary to subscribe
this list. See

There are two of those mailinglists. One is rather busy because
everytime a user edits a wiki page, a message is sent to the whole list
 (maybe I'm wrong, but at least I couldn't stop those notify messages
yet. I couldn't even edit the wiki because it's driven by some awesome
1337 javascripts which make my firefox tremendously slow.) the other is
rather quite and you'll find just important stuff.
