Triggering of "App is not responding" dialog

Hello,
I am writing some app using SDL/OpenGL and at start I load some
resources. Since it is quite intensive process, Gnome pops message
saying that my app is not responding (force quit/wait). What triggers
this dialog? After ~3 seconds all resources are loaded and app is
running as intended.
