Modal Dialog not puping up

hi, 

I have an extension for ConnMan. I have a Modal dialog popup upon receiving a dbus message on a object. When I invoke the dialog from the extension, it works fine. But when I externally send the dbus message it does not work. The error I get in the log is :

JS LOG: pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed

I am using shell ver 3.6.3.1 on a fedora18 box.

Any clues?
