Sorry, currently there is no way to reload just the network indicator.
You need to restart the shell with alt-f2 r.
It would be helpful if you could add some debug information (such as
the result of
gdbus monitor -y -d org.freedesktop.NetworkManager
), and possibly upstream the bug, as not everyone follows RH bugzilla.
