Oh how about another idea. have an extension that gathers the key info about the hardware. Allow the user a rating. Something like smolt idea. Even post versions of the graphics drivers.

I've tried to run such efforts before, and they tend to be too unwieldy.
They also go stale rapidly and thus wind up being inaccurate.
