RE: gnome-shell-list Digest, Vol 17, Issue 10

I just had a question about the shell:

Is the overlay based on a plugin system (plugin/layout manager), so that
I can add/remove/resize the visual/functional components as I want/need?
IE will it be "My Activities", or "Some Other Persons Activities"?

You are proposing something like this?

The two changes you should look at is the X at the top right corner of
desktop and the + at the lower left corner of the workspace. The
oldstyle +
that it was possible to hit with a window.
