RE: News from the shell



I'm on Ubuntu 10.10 and GNOME Shell has built successfully in the past (in occasionally doesn't build, but that's more because it's a work in progress and less that it's Ubuntu 10.10)
I have this thread in Ubuntu Forums which should help you built it in 10.10 or even 11.04 should you decide to go that route
