If you switch desktops with the keyboard while dragging the window,
then the window will come along with.

This isn't easy with the default Control-Alt-Arrows, since that really
requires two hands, but it works well if you say, bind:

 Alt-F1 => move to desktop 1
 Alt-F2 => move to desktop 2
 Alt-F3 => move to desktop 3
 Alt-F4 => move to desktop 4

(And move the close-window binding to something other than Alt-F4)

Which you can do in the keybinding property dialog.
