Re: [gpm] suspend instead of hibernate when on ac-power

Hello,

Yes. Does this work:

dbus-send --system --print-reply
--dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Hibernate

Unfortunately, the output probably is not very helpful. Here it is:

frafu UbuntuDesktop:~$ dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Hibernate
Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.UnknownError: An unknown error occured
frafu UbuntuDesktop:~$

I wonder whether it is not related to the error messages that I get and that tell me that the dbus could not be initialised.

Francesco
