Strange Error when syncing

Hi again,
well, something strange again. Or maybe very simple, but I couldn't find
any explanation yet.

when I call gpilotd and start a sync (besides the fact that it is still
a matter of "manual timing" to hit enter and tab sync on my clie at the
right seconds) I see the following  output. I added some comments marked
by lots of ######## between the lines where the error happens.

I did a reinstall for Jamie's Evo 1.4.5, his gnome-pilot-packages and
his pilot-link 0.11.8 and I deleted ~/.gnome2/gnome-pilot.d/* and
reconfigured my Clie with gpilotd-control-applet getting, but that all
didn't solve the issue. 

If I do a "ps aux | grep wombat" I get:

So some kind of Australian animal is living on my box, but apparently
not the right one ;-(

Any Idea what may cause this and how to solve it?
