Yes, pilot-link is working. I successfully backed up my m505 from the commandline. It's gnome-pilot that is not doing anything when I press the hotsync button. I tried killing the applet and daemon like you suggested but that didn't work either.
Is there any other configuration necessary for gnome-pilot other than what the druid steps through?
