The sendmail conduit (again)

Could someone please please please tell me how I can use the sendmail
conduit to transfer mbox style mail files to my Palm Vx. Everything else
works fine with gnome-pilot. 

Every mention of the sendmail conduit just talks about it being a
"magical" black box that just works - well not in this case.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

P.S Anyone know if Ximian are working on an email conduit for Evolution?
