Re Re: gpilotd not working stable with my Clie SJ30

Hi List, still this unstable USB connection.

I managed to set up IR-Sync today (many thanks to the great howto by
David A. Desrosiers <hacker at gnu-designs dot com>). This worked two
times great and now it fails, too. Here is again a long Syslog with some
comments in <<< >>>:

I have set the timeouts for /dev/pilot (aka /dev/ttyUSB1) and /dev/ttyS1
(where the IR-Script from the Howto has to point at on my machine) from
default 2 secs to 60secs. Thought that might be the problem, but I still
get this (if something at all) from gpilotd when I come via USB-Cable:

---- snip -----
fungata romanic:~> gpilotd
gpilotd-Message: gnome-pilot 0.1.71 starting...
gpilotd-Message: compiled for pilot-link version ..
gpilotd-Message: compiled with [VFS] [USB] [IrDA] [Network]
gpilotd-Message: Activating CORBA server
gpilotd-Message: Watching ClieUSB (/dev/pilot)
gpilotd-Message: Watching ClieIRDA (/dev/ircomm0)
gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600

gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: Connection timed out

gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: timeout was 60 secs
---- snap -----

So does anyone have any other ideas what to do? Is this a clie-problem
only????

HELP!

Regards Lars
