OK, so to work with my desktop you have to use the
--with-oaf flag. Sorry for cluttering your inboxes!
Now onto a more interesting question, and the
reason for trying this new version in the first place:
I have a handspring visor, and pilot-link will
talk to it fine. I've got 0.1.63 installed with
usb enabled, but when I launch the gnome-pilot
setup from the control-center (or elsewhere) it
doesn't seem to see the hotsync, instead leaving
the following messages on the terminal:
gpilotd-Message: Activating OAF object
OAFIID:gpilotd:a40c417b-21db-4959-a58e-40096a0daf09
Message: Unable to load host id information,
assuming unset
Message: No pilot userid/username information located
These don't mean a lot to me, so can anyone shed
some light?
Thanks
Ben
