the file conduit, backup conduit and memo conduit work fine.  I haven
tried the mail conduit yet.  when I press the HotSync button, gncal
pops-up, but nothing happens... the following is from gpilotd:

seems to be a problem w/ gnomecal server... let me check to make sure
the RPM got all the files... yep nothing missing on the install.

That is is the correct place:
/etc/CORBA/servers/gnomecal.gnorba

more info:
all packages built on my system from SRPMS, gcc 2.95.2, -O3 -mcpu=i686 
-march=i686

if gnomecal is running when I sync, it dumps core. (how do I get it to 
actually put a core file down not pop up a dialog?)

same problem at any serial speed from 115k to 9600
