To be honest, I've been barely conscious of the slight change from red
to purple over time, even though I've used the likes of Mozilla and IE
for years... which probably suggests that its having a large red
component that's suggestive of visited links, rather than actually using
#FF0000.
Lynx didn't have colour...in the beginning....
