Now there seems to be a few people who have subscribed recently and are
perhaps wondering why they bothered. So what follows is the peanut
gallery version of gnome-love's history and what we can do moving
forwards.
Perhaps we could post a monthly or bi-weekly FAQ to the list that
answered some of the more common "where can I start" questions (e.g.
pointers to the list of un/poorly-documented apps, easy-fix bugs, or
whatever such lists exist these days), and perhaps included some of this
potted history as well... at least then people wouldn't think the list
was completely dead :)
That sounds like the right sort of idea. I am going to spend some time
today revising Dan Mueth's "Getting Involved In GNOME" document (that
was already on my list before I started this thread). Making that
document more appropriate to the Century Of The Fruitbat will be a
start. I shall post a link here when I put it up somewhere.
The next trick is to a quick run-around and pull together some things
that exist right now. If I have time to do that today, I'll post
something.
