Re: [gnome-love] Re: glade2

Hi!

Though this thread is already some days old, I was wondering if there is room for another contributor. I can
offer a strong C background and a fairly good level at GTK+. I have already compiled glade2 from CVS, and
I'm very eager to start coding. I look you up tomorrow at irc.

Cheers,

Gustavo

Chema,

I am interested. What is the plan of attack -- what needs to be done?

Thanks,

Subject: [gnome-love] glade2

There have been some mails about people asking for stuff to do. I
started working on a glade rewrite for gtk 2.0, i didn't made this
public until recently because i don't have the time to do it alone, but
now that gnome-love is starting to work out i decided to continue with
it. So if you are looking for stuff to do, this might be a good task.

If you are interested, get "glade2" from the cvs, compile it and mail me
afterwards if you would like to help. You will need to get gtk 2.0
installed, you can a) use the "vicious-build-scripts" (which are in a
module on the CVS under the same name) or b) get the gtk+all tarbal from
ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v1.3/gtk+-all-1.3.x.tar.gz.

There are very clear tasks to do since we are "cloning" the old glade
program, all the code is new but the old glade code is a good guide both
because it contains code that is doing the same task and also because we
don't have to think about the design of the gui and how things should
work, we just need to copy the old he old glade. After we get the same
functionality as the current glade project, we can start redesigning the
gui.

love,
Chema
