Yes, I know. This isn't what I meant. I want the open windows and
applications to be stored on logout, and restored on login.
Using starting applications wouldn't be a bad idea. Firefox and Emacs
bring their own session management. The problem is that most (not
all...) windows of both are reopened on the first desktop.
