Hi, seemingly GNOME 3 fan?
Can you tell how to create a launcher in GNOME 3?
Can you tell how to change file association in GNOME 3? For
example,
how to change default text editor?
Thank you in advance.
To create a launcher: Create a *.desktop file (add it
to /usr/share/applications/ to launch it in the overview (Activities)):
# example
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Type=Application
Terminal=false
Exec=$HOME/MyApp
Name=My Application
Icon=$HOME/Icons/MyIcon.png
To create a file association: Right click a file with your desired file
type, Open with > Other application... > Show other applications >
select the app to open with.
# Right click on a app below recommended applications and click Forget
association to remove the file association.
To change the default text editor:
You can follow the previous steps or look here -
