Introduction

Hi,

I'm not sure how introductions are handled on this mailing list, so please mention if I forgot anything.
My name is Alex and I am a German highschool student, so far I have participated in some open source projects by submitting bug reports, feature requests and doing some translations.
I really like the way Gnome Shell is going, however there are some design decisions which seem to be rather counterproductive. Apparently there are quite a lot of people who dislike the current way to suspend / shutdown or the lack of an options to easily choose a different window decoration or icon theme (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=643457).
Instead of making decisions without looking after the actual demands of the userbase the Gnome team should - at least in my opinion - be _open_ with the ultimate goal of providing solutions which are 'made of easy'. What do you think of my idea to let users vote for or against controversial features?

Greetings

Alex
