For some reason, this functionality isn't present in metacity - I
guess to me it just seems like workspaces are not all that functional
when an application can't tell the window manager where it goes, when
you do a save sessions, the workspace information isn't saved (or at
least used when the session manager starts the sessions again), 
etc.
