Help for Ultrasparc/Ximian install

Can anyone point me towards resources for help with installing Ximian 1.4 on
Solaris 7 on an Ultra 2? I've worked my way through various issues, mainly
reorganizing space on disks so I could get everything downloaded .. finally
got the installer to go to completion, but now when I try and log into a
gnome session, I just get a black screen and no way out.
