Gnapster don't work in ximian gnome 1.4

When i try to start gnapster in XG 1.4 i get this: gnapster: error
while loading shared libraries: gnapster: undefined symbol: stat.
I have a redhat 7.1 system. Any suggestions what i have to do. All
dependencies is solved. So it is something else.
