Look back a bit - the discussion was how many people were using procmail
in the context of whetever and how bad it was that evolution didn't
co-exists with it well. Hence, it doesn't matter one bit whetvere they
know it is there, the only part they will see is evolution not working in
their setup.

Ultimately, its still a stupid and nasty bug in Evolution, except it
happens to be a bug lots of people will be running into.
