Re: lo-color gnome ?



I'm not sure it's a problem of desktop by itself. I believe it's a
problem of application.
If you start gnome using gnome-session, you have more cpu use than if
you start
a window manager from your ~/.xsession and after start gnome
application.

I remember that the wm afterstep has different sets of icons for 8, 16,
24 and 32. bpp.

Maybe you can give it a try to have better possibilities of color
management ?
PS: I don't use afterstep for 2 years.
The url must be www.afterstep.org and it is gnome compliant.
