I would like to start playing with GNOME source and decided to install it
from CVS
I have RH 6.1 and have successfully loaded the most recent stable GNOME
rpms.
I am following Soren Harwards Beginning Guide to Getting GNOME to Work From
CVS: v1.2
I got the sources for glib, gtk+, imlib, ORBit, gnome-libs, gnome-core
through CVS.
I made sure my versions of mv, autoconf, automake, gettext and indent were
up to date.
I got the following warning when running autoconf.sh in glib and gtk+
configure.in:192: warning: AC_TRY_RUN called without default to allow
cross compiling
They compiled successfully (I think)
When I run autoconf.sh in imlib I get the following
aclocal: configure.in: 22: macro `AM_PATH_GTK' not found in library
configure.in:58: warning: AC_TRY_RUN called without default to allow
cross compiling
configure.in:230: AC_MSG_WARN(*** Native JPEG support will not be built
(JPEG library not found) ***), $GX_LIBS)
configure.in:25: AC_MSG_WARN([*** gdk_imlib will not be built ***])])
configure.in:264: AC_MSG_WARN(*** Native TIFF support will not be
built (TIFF header files not found) ***)),
./configure: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'
./configure: ./configure: line 537: `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Feel free to respond directly to me, I don't want to muddy up the list with
what must be a FAQ.
Thanks,
Will Heyman
