Re: Host Name Problem



With RedHat /etc/HOSTNAME contains the hostname, but changing the value in
this file won't be permanent. RedHat actually sets the value in this file
at bootup based on a different file ( I forget which one ). If you want to
change your hostname use the `hostname` command.
