Re: switching to gnome-ppp

To use gnome-ppp as a regular user, the following steps can be used as
reference-
1. Create a new group call ppp, or whatever you want
2. Assign the users to that group.
3. In /usr/sbin or /sbin, change the mode of pppd to -rwsr-x---, ie. chmod
u+s pppd;chmod g+x pppd
4. Change the owner of /etc/resolv.conf to root:ppp, ie. chown root:ppp
/etc/resolv.conf
5. Change the permission of /etc/resolv.conf to -rw-rw-r--, ie. chmod ug+w
/etc/resolv.conf
6. Use gnome-ppp.
7. There should be no problem this way. The security, though, is not
concerned but it should be save enough for normal use.
