gnome-core-1.1.0 compile question

Could someone tell me why I can compile gnome-core-1.1.0 only with the
--disable-nls flag? Not that I'm worried about NLS but I'm just curious
if the translations haven't been included yet or if if it's just a
makefile error or something..

Any ideas?

This is on a fresh RH6.1 system with October GNOME RPMS updated.

BTW, I LOVE the changes that are being made to 1.1...and I thought GNOME
was customizable before! ;0)
