Last night I got around to compiling and installing the lastest .tar.gz
packages for Gnome 1.0.40. Here's what it did to my system:
* I lost my panels, and it reverted back to default
* No more sound, even though sound is turned on and it worked fine
before (I did move up to gdm-2.0beta4, so maybe that's part of the
problem). esd is running, and I didn't change a thing related to sound.
* Can't start gnome-terminal at all. When I open an rxvt and try to
start it, this is what I get:
[dev@danlinux dev]$ gnome-terminal
gnome-terminal: error in loading shared libraries
: undefined symbol: zvt_term_match_add
I had no problems compiling the source, so is this a library dependency
that got missed?
So far this is it, but I'm not sure if there are other problems yet.
Does anyone have suggestions for how I can clean up this mess?
Dan
