You can drag the icon from the Netscape "location" bar into the
desktop. Be sure not to touch any DnD destinations other than the
desktop on the way there; this is a bug in Motif and we cannot work
around it.
Also, you can use the "New/URL Link" command from the desktop popup
menu.
