Can't tell you from looking at it.  "default" is used when you aren't
using session management, one of your two sesssion management directories
is probably dead.  I'd go to ~/.gnome/panel.d and use "rgrep -r pager *",
and fiddle with each file it gives me.

I'd call that a bug, the docs say it checks the EDITOR variable.

Yup, I just recreated that on my machine, that also looks like a bug to
me.  Even worse, all the mouse actions directed at the viewer window were
being badly passed through to the gmc window.  You should probably submit
that one too.
