I don't like the idea of using rpm --nodeps.  The
failed dependencies are with:

libglib.so.1		(part of glib10-1.0.6-2.i386)
                         conflicts with
glib-1.0.6-3
libgdk.so.1		(part of gtk+-1.2.0-1.i386)
			 which needs parts of libglib-1.2.so.0
libgtk.so.1		(part of gtk+10-1.0.6-2.i386)
			 which needs glib10

they are needed by:

AfterStep-APPS-1.5-0.3
control-panel-3.7-7
gecko-1.6-0  (gecko only needed libglib.so.1)
gimp-1.0.1-2
gnome-linuxconf-0.14-4rh
usermode-1.4.3-1
usernet-1.0.8-1
wmakerconf-1.1.1-3

So is the presence of glib10-1.0.6-3 the source of
the failed dependency problem?
