Hello,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting sound to work. I'm using Redhat 5.2 and
I've upgraded to linux 2.2.7 and gnome 1.0
I have a Creative/Ensoniq AudioPCI sound card and I'm using es1370. When I
first tried out the card with a music CD, there did not appear to be any
problems and I was getting sound from enlightenment. As soon as I started
the sound equalizer app, the CD sound stopped although desktop sounds could
still be played. The CD applet display indicated that it was in fact
playing the CD, just no sound. I also had esd running, at least there was a
socket in /tmp/.esd.
I'm going to attach a bunch of stuff that I hope will be useful to someone
who can help me out. Does anyone know of any options that can be used with
this card?
Thanks much, in advance.
Joe
