problem with mime types

hi guys i have some problems with the mime types of images
like jpg , png , and so on
it didnt werk somehow anymore after reinstallation of ee!
the images in gmc didnt open anymore
so i edited the mime types in control center!
and added to start or view the command 'ee' 
but then on a double click only ee gets startet..
the image dont open..
what is wrong? 
please help!
