Ok, it compiles now. But it still doesn't work right..I get an endless
succession in syslog of:
Jan 11 18:06:28 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_start: Starting slave process for :0
Jan 11 18:06:28 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_start: Opening display :0
Jan 11 18:06:28 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_greeter: Running greeter on :0
Jan 11 18:06:28 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_greeter: Greeter on pid 4363
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdmgreeter[4363]: Using 'Xsession' as default session
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_child_handler: 4363 died
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_start: Starting slave process for :0
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_start: Opening display :0
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_greeter: Running greeter on :0
Jan 11 18:06:29 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_greeter: Greeter on pid 4369
Jan 11 18:06:30 palantir gdmgreeter[4369]: Using 'Xsession' as default session
Jan 11 18:06:30 palantir gdm[4312]: gdm_slave_child_handler: 4369 died
It's even worse if I have an Init/Default script to start xbanner and
xscreensaver since then when gdm starts pingponging it tries to start an
xbanner and xscreensaver each second, not a Good Thing. :-)

Nothing is hopeless.
PROOF:
(a) Assume the opposite.
(b) If something _is_ hopeless, then its condition can only improve.
(c) If its condition can only improve, then there must be hope for it.
(d) Therefore, nothing is hopeless. QED.
