libgnome.so.32: undefined symbol: poptHelpOptions

I've got the latest sources out of cvs and I have the following
problem with a lot of apps (this is just an example from gmenu):

gmenu: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/local/lib/libgnome.so.32: undefined symbol: poptHelpOptions

And this error doesn't allow the app to start.  Is there something
I've done wrong?  Everything was working a couple of weeks ago ;) ...
