background? (+other stuff)

I'm not sure whether these issues are Enlightenment, Gnome or XFree86 but I thought I'd ask and see if there have been any similar experiences.

1.  Background:  I set my background in the Gnome Control Center and it stays for the current session but when I restart it brings up the Enlightenment background.  Actually on startup it flashes my background for just a second then the E background appears.

2.  Sound:  Sometimes my sound gets stuck and I get a constant clicking until I play another sound and convince it to stop.  (I'm using the commercial OSS with a soundblaster PCI128)

3.  Redraw:  After my monitor goes into powersave I get a black and white checkerboard pattern on my screen.  I can get rid of it by dragging a window around the screen until every last part of the screen has been forced to redraw.  This seems to permenantly (for that session) mess up some graphics though, like the Enlightenment tooltips.

Gnome and Enlightenment are going great!  Keep up the good work.
