gnome-xmms is pretty nice, but has a strange feature on my system. When
I start it up and look at the running process's there are six (6) copies of
xmms running! Plus, the applet doesn't have playlist features, you have to do
all the gruntwork in xmms. Someone else suggested running xmms in a rolled up
pane, which works pretty good if it's stuck on top and out of the way. Plus,
it only starts one copy of itself...

Thanks for the suggestions, I still think it would be cool applet....
