Why?!
I have now

    ~/.gnome/
    ~/.gnome-desktop/
    ~/.gnome-help-browser/
    ~/.gnome_private/

why not make them

    ~/.gnome/
    ~/.gnome/desktop/
    ~/.gnome/help-browser/
    ~/.gnome/private/

and cut on the meaningful clutter of my home directory?!

Micros**t is not the answer. Micros**t is a question, and the answer is Linux,
(http://www.linux.org) the choice of the GNU (http://www.gnu.org) generation.
