Gnome-Core Question

Hi, I have a quick question that I can't seem to find the answer too (I
hope
that this isn't the 100th time this has been asked...)

My compile of the latest gnome-core keeps dying with:

>Making all in gsm
>make[2]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gnome-core-1.0.4/gsm'
>/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -O2 -m486 -fno-strength-reduce
-Wall -Wno-unused -o >session-properties session-properties.o

Is this an error from not using egcs ? I am using glibc-2.1.1-1 and
gcc-2.7.2.3-14, but do
I have to use the latest version of egcs to compile this ?

Thanks.
